If you’re a Covered CA member you should have received a renewal notice in the mail or via email. You may have been given a deadline of next week to renew your plan. Don’t miss the deadline, as this may affect your 2015 coverage! Here are some important Covered CA Renewal notes:
- Members who did NOT give Covered CA permission to view their tax return information in the future MUST RE-ENROLL or coverage may terminate. If you gave Covered CA permission to review tax returns for “0” years, you must re-enroll.
- Members who DID give Covered CA permission to view their tax return information in the future WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RE-ENROLLED IN THE SAME PLAN, WITH THE SAME INCOME INFORMATION AS 2014. If you gave Covered CA permission to review tax returns for 1-5 years, you will be automatically re-enrolled unless you submit changes. However, we recommend that EVERYONE take the time to log in, verify your information, and shop the health plans for 2015.
Rates and benefits have changed for most plans. You will want to verify what tax credit you may be eligible for in 2015, and then select a health plan.
Carefully review your entire account to make sure that Covered CA has the correct information in their system. When you log in, click the RENEWAL button. This will take you to the RENEWAL SUMMARY page that allows you confirm your household information, dependents, address, contact information, income, etc. You will be able to edit any of these items from this page. Be sure to review this carefully and make any necessary changes!
Once you’ve verified that your information is correct, you can elect to keep your current plan, or shop for a new plan.
Covered California service center phones will be open starting SATURDAY November 15th.
